Is it door 21 already? Wow. As if you needed anymore encouragement to vote for So Long St Christopher as Daytrotter’s song of the year, here comes a lovely video of the session to remind you how much you like it. That’s handy. Hark! Opening door 6 of your advent calendar today...
A nativity of sorts ‘Allo…. Time for catch up then…….. Time flies when you’re having fun, but seemingly also when immersed in the rigors, head-scratching and inevitable excitement of making records.  It seems only yesterday that we returned from Switzerland with a belly full of Milka, and a new record all but wrapped up. …. 21 tracks were recorded in the space of...

The new track, ‘Linnaeus’, is the first preview from what will be the band’s second studio album, following 2010’s ‘Wolves and Thieves’. The video is a camcorder-shot recording of one man’s day, and the simplicity of it combines well with the...

Goldheart Assembly London Residency (Fourth of... →
This was the third of the four GHA residencies that I attended and as they’ve settled back into playing live, and in particular, to performing the new material, the shows have gotten even better. They may think that last night was a little less perfect than previous weeks, but for me, when they relax and banter with each other and the crowd, I can easily forgive the occasional fluff because...

‘It’s been a year since our tour with With Are Scientists and Rewards. Where did that go? Probably time to release a new album I’d say’ — Goldheart Assembly.

A piece from Steve Lamacq's blog:
Next door, and the last stop of the night, GOLDHEART ASSEMBLY continued their residency downstairs at a pub called The Spice Of Life (the same, slightly tacky West End pub, where I first met Justine Frischman from Elastica, surrounded by tourists and day-trippers from the Suburbs). Downstairs though, in a room which could have been tacked on to a Travel Lodge, the Assembly road-tested a series...
